From a block of Land to a ever growing complex

Before all the state of the art cinemas, 3 star accommodation, international restaurants and the famous undercover Ettalong markets, was just a block of land.

What started as a small shop purchased in 1979 with just 12 smal market vendors has been developed over 30 years to get where it is today and there is still more to come.

• 1979 - Land purchased with small shop with 12 market stalls.

• 1983 - First stage of the accommodation started with 8 rooms and was named “The Sea Sand Hotel”.

• 1984 – Second stage began of the accommodation with the addition of another six rooms.

• 1985 – The first restaurant opened its doors the historic “The Sea Sand Colonial Inn”.

• 1986 – 1998 – Beautification Renovations, Stunning Landscaping, Addition of 15+ international eateries, and an additional 23 rooms in the motel bringing the start of the “Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort”.

• 1999 – Saw the launch of a twin state of the art cinema complex.

• 2005 – Additional 4 cinema screens including the famous outdoor cinema in the breathtaking piazza.

• 2009 – Future – This extraordinary development is an ongoing project with no limitations.
